Celebrating 2 years of Vigil Night Prayers
The 14th day of December 2012 was a great day in the calendar of Imani Radio. The overnight prayers we host every second Friday of the month were on. For the past eleven months of 2012 the LORD has been merciful and gracious to this ministry. The overnight prayers popularly known as the ‘KESHA’ have been a blessing to many who turn up to worship our God in truth and spirit. The Lord led Ptallah Butaki to set aside a prayer mountain where God’s people can come and cry unto him. This overnight vigil began two year ago with the staff of Imani radio being the main congregation. From about 8 staff members attending the vigil night prayers two years, the congregation now boasts of over 500 people from all parts of the country.
On 14th December, people began arriving as early as mid day. On the ground, the activities were on a
high pitch note because the chapel was on its final stages of roof construction. Time went very first on that day and by sunset; the chapel was almost full to the brim while many people were still flocking in. The sound men were busy putting up the equipments for the sound system and lighting.

Imani Radio Expands West
And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested. 1 Chronicles 4:10
AS Jabez prayed this prayer, God indeed expanded his
borders and he served to glorify His name. At inception of Imani Radio, we were excited that we would be able to reach the people of Mt. Elgon, a marginalized community and a people whom the gospel reached not long ago. We were however disappointed when we realized that the frequency signal would not reach Mt. Elgon.
