More Schools Razed
Cases of fire in schools have been rampant in the past one week with the recent one being on Tuesday night in Kakamega, Kisumu and Kisii counties where dormitories were razed down in all the incidences.
The first case was reported at Kisii High school at 8pm where a dormitory caught fire while students were attending their evening studies. Later on another fire incident was reported at Thurdibuoro secondary school in Kisumu County.
According to the twitter account the emergency responders had a difficult time after another incident was reported Dr. Aloo Gumbe Secondary School in Kisumu; as makhokho secondary school dorm in Kakamega County was also on fire.
This comes after the Education Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed toured Kisumu Girls on Tuesday after the school was closed indefinitely due to student unrest. Cs Amina warned those found guilty of burning schools will be treated as criminals and be jailed.
